The municipality of Groß Kreutz (Havel) is located in the area formed by the Ice Age between Werder and Brandenburg an der Havel. Large parts are in the lowlands on the Havel, but you will be surprised, there are also mountains here! Many of the villages were owned by the Lehnin monastery in the Middle Ages. The monks were good entrepreneurs and this is how some of the places came to modest prosperity. Fieldstone churches and large courtyards can still be seen today. The brick industry also began under the influence of the monks. The lookout tower on the Götze Berg allows a wide view of the interesting relief of the landscape.

Our hotel is located in the lowlands on the Havel, but you will be surprised, there are also mountains here! You can climb some of them on a tour along the Havel cycle path.
The Havel invites you to boat trips and swimming on lonely banks. Take your fishing rod with you, the quiet places at former clay pits - the earth holes - or also on the Havel promise a good catch, of course only with a fishing permit.
